Tho' the clouds may hover o'er us,
There's a bright and golden ray,
It's the promise that in heaven
God shall wipe all tears away.
Refrain:
When we reach that blessed homeland,
Where 'tis everlasting day,
On that bright eternal morning
God shall wipe all tears away.
No more sorrow, no more weeping,
Peace and joy shall hold full sway,
For beside life's crystal river
God shall wipe all tears away. (Refrain)
Ev'ry care will be forgotten,
All our burdens we shall lay,
Safe within the walls of jasper
God shall wipe all tears away. (Refrain)
Revelation 21
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Worship Suggestion:
The sound file is looped.
1. As the song plays the first time, (During Verse 1) make remarks about
the joy and peace we will experience when we reach our heavenly destination. Emphasize that God has given us the promise and the assurance of eternal life by way of our faith, and by way of the precious gifts of His grace and His mercy. We should pray for strength for our journey, and pray for courage
to share this Good News with others as we wait and look forward to that
great day.
2. As the song continues, (During Verses 2 - 3) read the scripture found
in the book of Revelation 21:1-27. Let the song end.
3. When the song restarts, sing Verses 1-3 together.
4. Prayer and Meditation.
