Gospel Concert

In many churches of the Baptist and Pentecostal Tradition, the Sunday Night Service

was a concert of sorts. It may be a church fellowship between two or more churches

or a concert or sing-along lead by one of the church choir ministries.

The Senior Choir, the Youth Choir, or a church music ensemble was the sponsor of the musical.

Sharing favorite songs was a musical feast whether the programs were scheduled on a weekly or a monthly basis.

The Gaither Reunions are a snapshot of this tradition, bringing together Northern Baptists,

Southern Baptists and Pentecostal people from all over the country.
