Spiritual Food for Thought
Topic 5
"Tools for the New Believer"
When a new believer begins the extraordinary journey, welcome them, and give them:
"The Blueprint"
"The Map"
(Better Known As)
The Bible
Once they have a Red Letter Bible, point them in the direction of the other important tools
for their spiritual back-pack.
We are Ordinary People on and Extraordinary Journey!
The plan is simple.
S.P. Daily /Served with a Slice of Faith
S.P. = Scripture Passage / A Hymn = a Slice of Faith
(Read "A Hymn is a Slice of Faith: Topic 4)
Always have a daily devotional or Bible reading guide nearby.
Scripture, hymns, and devotional reading help each of us start the day with a "spiritual breakfast."
Suggestions:
Create a daily tool kit. The kit can be analog or technological.
The toolkit should include the Bible, a Bible reading guide or devotional,
a concordance, a hymn book and so forth.
Add some other items from the list below.
The technological (app) versions of all of these are quite interesting and fun to use.
