We are climbing Jacob’s ladder,
We are climbing Jacob’s ladder,
We are climbing Jacob’s ladder,
Soldiers of the cross.
Ev'ry round goes higher, higher,

Worship Suggestion:
The sound file is looped.
1. Before the song begins, make remarks about the Old Testament covenant between Abraham and God. Emphasize that Jacob, the son who received the inheritance of the third generation of Abraham, dreamed a dream and had a vision. It is important to revisit the Old Testament scriptures of the experience of God’s people. Whether you are Jewish or Gentile it is important to know the story of the people of Faith. The metaphor of climbing Jacob’s ladder should remind us that we have a direct connection to heaven. Jesus Christ is now our mediator. Because of His ministry here on earth and because of His death and resurrection we are sons and daughters of the Most High God.
