We'll Understand it Better Bye and Bye

We are often destitute
Of the things that life demands.
Want of food and want of shelter,
thirsty hills and barren lands.
We are trusting in the Lord,
And according to his Word,
We will understand it better by and by. (Refrain)

Trials dark on ev'ry hand,
And we cannot understand,
All the ways that God would lead us
to that blessed Promised Land.
But he guides us with his eye
And we'll follow till we die.
For we'll understand it better by and by.(Refrain)

We are often tossed and driv'n
On the restless sea of time.
Somber skies and howling tempests
oft succeed a bright sunshine.
In that land of perfect day,
When the mists have rolled away,
We will understand it better by and by.

Refrain:
By and by when the morning comes,
When the saints of God are gathered home,
We will tell the story how we've overcome;
For we'll understand it better by and by.

Revelation 21
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write:

for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him

that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Worship Suggestion:
The sound file is looped.
1. As the song plays the first time, (During Verse 1) make remarks about the joys that await us in a new place which is being prepared for us. Many times we don't understand things that happen in this very complicated world. We cannot see the fullness of God's plan. But we can rest assured that all will be shown to us when we reach the end of our journey. Our God will make it all plain in the end.
2. As the song continues (During Verses 2 - 3) read the scripture found in the Book of Revelation 21: 1 - 7, 10, 11. Let the song end.
3. When the song restarts, sing Verses 1 - 3 together.
4. Prayer and Meditation.
